Dear respected brothers and sisters,
As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuHU,

RAMADAN MUBARAK!

Al Hamdulillah, Ramadan Hilal was sighted Monday, April 12, 2021, therefore Tuesday, April 13, 2021, will be the first day of Ramadan. We will begin Tarawih Salah, at Mosque for Praising Allah right after Isha prayer on Tuesday April 13, 2021, in Sha Allah.

We ask Allah to enable us to be the better Muslims following the guided path of Prophet Muhammad (SAAwS) during this blessed month of Ramadan, and to forgive our sins, and make us of the righteous people. Ameen.

4/12/2021 9:55pm CDT The moon was sighted by a group of 15+ individuals in San Diego, CA. The Chicago Hilal committee directly spoke with a representative from among them and has accepted their sighting. Therefore, the 1st of Ramadan, 1442 will be Tuesday, April 13th inshaAllah. Ramadan Kareem! 8:45pm CDT No additional reports have been made.

This is an important announcement about how we will be conducting our prayers at the Mosque for Praising Allah during Ramadan and the required Registration process for that.

We plan to pray 8 Rakah of tarawih + 3 Rakah of Witr (to be led by Hafidh Omari Hassan & youth reciters) right after Isha in Sha Allah.

To participate in the Tarawih prayers, each individual will have to register (one time only for the whole month of Ramadan) using this form. After registration, will be notified with a pass number that you will need to present upon arrival.

MANA Statement Following The Capitol Insurrection
The Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA) joins all law-abiding, peaceful Americans in condemning the deadly insurrection that occurred in and around the Capitol building yesterday (January 6, 2021) in Washington, D.C. We believe that this bloody affair was directly incited by President Donald Trump and his surrogates, both those inside and outside of government. As Muslims, we are no strangers to the sort of lies, distortions, and baseless conspiracy theories that have deluded so many people into believing the 2020 presidential election was stolen. A similar disinformation campaign waged against Muslims over the course of the last two decades has led to deadly acts of violence against members of our community as well as attacks against our houses of worship.
We are also dismayed by the glaring lack of security at the Capitol and the leniency with which the marauding mob was treated. That mob was able to breach a thin line of lightly armed police; easily enter the building, where virtually all members of Congress were assembled; vandalize and ransack the building; fight and seriously injure police officers; steal government property and terrorize members of Congress. After all of that, these domestic terrorists were calmly escorted out of the building to go their merry way. This stands in sharp contrast to the overwhelming law enforcement presence and violent, heavy-handed police tactics that greeted peaceful protesters in Washington, D.C. this past summer. We condemn this politically and racially-informed double standard and add our voice to that of those calling for a thorough investigation into what can only be described as a massive security failure, if not open complicity.
In conclusion, we urge our fellow citizens to think deeply about the terminal diseases currently afflicting our body politic. Although our President provided the spark that ignited this insurrection, the racism, political polarization, hatred, blind partisanship, nasty political discourse, alienation and spiritual emptiness that provided the fuel for it must be addressed if our country has any hope of continuing to exist as a democratic republic.

A Time for Justice - A Time for Peace!

The Unjust Killing of George  Floyd!
We of the Muslim community in Boston know that it is our obligation to speak out against the brutal killing of our brother George Floyd. Our sympathy and condolences are extended to Mr. Floyd’s family; and we demand that justice be done to [the perpetrators of this crime.
Islam forbids all acts of violence and oppression against individuals and people.
Allah (T) says in the Quran:
Whoever kills someone without just cause, it is as though they had killed all of humanity. Qu'ran 5:32
The killing of George Floyd is another example of the undercurrent of racism that haunts America.
We remind the Muslim community of Boston of our responsibility to uphold all that is right and to forbid what is wrong and to speak out against wrongdoing and uphold Justice, even if it is against ourselves.
Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him, said:
Whoever sees a wrong should stop it with his hand, if he unable he should speak out against it, and if he can’t speak out against it he should hate it in his heart, and that's the weakest show of faith.
“Let us raise our voices in Protest”
We also advise any righteous minded people of their responsibility to ensure the well-being and safety of all people in this country.
Any human being unjustly murdered by anyone is unacceptable, however when the perpetrator of such a crime is another law enforcement officer and the victim is yet another black man, this repeated scenario continues the longstanding and painful divide in our country. The underlying allusion of white superiority is continuing proof of our failure to progress as a society and a nation. We as a nation are an absolute embarrassment in the eyes of the people of the world.
The prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said there is no superiority of a white over a black or black over a white except in righteousness.
“ Let us be righteous"
We highly respect our Mayors comments and his effort in speaking out against the cruel  killing of George Floyd and his acknowledgement of the injustice that was done to him, and his realization that this is not an isolated case but a continuing undercurrent of evil and racism that plagues this country and must be stopped                             if we are to survive as a people, as a nation.
